Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 brings The Wholesome Taste of Thai to Fukuoka

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) presented Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 @Fukuoka, a gastronomy event in Fukuoka, Japan. The event was part of the Amazing Thailand Food Festival (World Tour) and positioned Thai gastronomy as a gateway to travel, connecting cuisine with wellness, culture, creativity, and destination storytelling. Miss Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing, Asia and South Pacific, said, “Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 @Fukuoka places Thai food at the centre of Thailand’s connection with Japanese travellers. Food is one of Thailand’s clearest cultural languages, carrying flavour, wellness, local wisdom, and a sense of place in every dish. Through The Wholesome Taste of Thai, TAT is using gastronomy to turn familiarity with Thailand into fresh travel inspiration, encouraging Japanese visitors to discover the real taste, culture, and lifestyle of Thailand at source.” TAT organised the Fukuoka edition in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka, Thailand’s trade promotion office in Hiroshima, and public- and private-sector partners. The event transformed Tenjin Chuo Park into a Thai travel and lifestyle showcase, with 33 booths featuring Thai food, tourism products, contemporary crafts, design-led Thai goods, travel offers, and interactive experiences. Thai Airways International and AirAsia joined the event with special fares and promotions to support travel planning. Food was the centrepiece of the experience, with cooking demonstrations by Thai chefs, hands-on activities, and tastings highlighting the role of herbs, ingredients, and balance in Thai cuisine. The programme also featured DIY workshops on luk chup, a traditional Thai mung bean sweet shaped into colourful miniature fruits, miniature garland crafting, Thai massage, and an AI photobooth offering virtual travel experiences in Thailand. The festival also presented Thailand’s contemporary cultural appeal to younger and experience-driven audiences in Japan. Highlights included Thai cultural performances, Muay Thai demonstrations, the Thai art toy character “Noinah”, and appearances by Thai artists and entertainers, including Koh Mr. Saxman, Mcka, Jaonine, Marissa, Ice, and TAN from Mor Lam Idol. The Fukuoka edition reflects TAT’s strategy to expand Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 (The Wholesome Taste of Thai) to priority international markets, using gastronomy tourism to strengthen Thailand’s appeal among quality travellers and reinforce the kingdom as a destination where food, culture, wellness, and travel experiences are closely connected.
